Onboarding with Absolute Ops is designed to be painless for you while providing value out of the gate. There are 4 basic steps, although 2 and 3 usually overlap.

- Access and inventory
- Setup and testing
- Go live
That’s it! We drive the whole process, fill out the paperwork, and set everything up. The entire process usually takes about a week to complete, and we do most of the heavy lifting.
Here’s some detail on each step so you know what to expect.
Kickoff Meeting
This is a 30-60 minute meeting to go over the onboarding process, identify any special goals you have, and answer any questions. If we’re building new infrastructure for you, we’ll review the design requirements and build process.
Access and Inventory
This is where we dig in, and you start seeing results. We’ll identify what services we need access to, let you know what access we need to each, and then help you set it up as needed.
Existing Infrastructure
We’ll see what you have for inventory, diagrams, service catalog, etc. If you don’t have all of that, don’t worry! We’ll create it during the process.
New Infrastructure
Based on the requirements discussed in the kickoff call, we’ll create diagrams and service descriptions for you to approve. Once approved, we’ll set up build processes to create everything.
Setup and Testing
This is where we take everything from the previous steps and put it together. We build any new infrastructure, configure existing services, and set it all up in our Dashboard.
We test alerts, notifications, validation processes, and runbooks as we move through the setup. We configure your support portal and make sure all the right people have access.
Go Live
With everything ready, we flip the switch and start monitoring, backups, patching, support, and all the other services you are using.
What Happens Now
Go live is where you can relax, but it’s just the beginning for us. We constantly look for improvements to your environment and add additional monitors or procedures when needed. We train on the latest vendor changes to stay ahead of the curve and pass on our experiences to you. And we continually reevaluate our processes and solutions to ensure we deliver the best value possible.
